Recently, Zhao Bin, Chinese Ambassador to the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), led a delegation to conduct on-site inspection and supervision at the Inga II Hydropower Station Renovation Project, and visited frontline employees to extend sincere sympathy. Counselor Han Xiaofei accompanied him on the visit.
Ambassador Zhao inspected the project construction progress, quality and safety management, key technical research, as well as the overall follow-up construction plan on the spot. He spoke highly of the fine work style of all staff who stay at their posts overseas, overcome difficulties, and fulfill responsibilities with dedication. He urged the project team to continue striving for excellence, strictly control contract performance quality, complete all construction tasks to high standards, showcase the good image of Chinese enterprises, and contribute to the friendly cooperation between China and the DRC.
As a key flagship project of practical cooperation between China and the DRC, the upgrading and renovation of Inga II Hydropower Station will systematically shore up weaknesses in local energy infrastructure, strongly support the economic development and livelihood improvement of the DRC, and is of great strategic significance for deepening bilateral infrastructure and energy cooperation.
